Anita Meldere

My paintings are my entire life - daily experiences and dreams, symbols of my views of life
expressed in terms of colors.
The relationship with color is in a continual change.
Sometimes a color - the only, inimitable one expresses itself to me like a hieroglyph of
feelings. At times I am playing with the spectrum picking out a color like a partner for the
dance, yielding to its programmed nature until my being revolts and rejects the alien.

In my paintings I have tried to communicate the message of fragility and strength of life,
the meaning and presence of love and hope for the existence of the everlasting.
